An Observation, An Encounter
I saw God - in you
Now, perhaps these eyes are clouded
Cataracts on the precipice
Or, in some sense, I was innately correct from the genesis
The Angels descended-parting the clouds
They sang hymns and pierced the fabric
In their chorus, I could make no words out
I supposed they were directions and heeds
I am certain you could make their words out
Explain, with diction and discourse
Stand with your head held high and move about in confidence
Without, a mistrial in sight
Would it be that you were gifted?
Or would it be that you were cursed?
A mixture of questions, soon answered without a word uttered
I saw God-within in you
A glow that made the skin turn pale
A pigment to form translucence
While everyone moved about
I saw the truth flow from thy mouth
Someday, you will wake
And realize that your worth stands in front
Not, merely a shadow or figment
But a soft glow flickering about

I specifically love this last stanza!
